Parna Pethe is a young Marathi actress, originally from the city of Pune. She first came into the spotlight with her role as Ramabai in the historical movie Rama Madhav.

Parne received her college education at Fergusson College in Pune. Standing third in Pune University while studying for her M.A. in Psychology degree, she was a truly gifted student. She participated in a lot of natak competitions in her college days such as Purshotamm Karandak, acting especially in a lot of historical roles.
Husband
Parna is married to actor Alok Rajwade. Their wedding anniversary date falls on 29th Feb 2016. They acted in the movie Rama Madhav together and also did many nataks before it.
Career
In 2014, she debuted in the film Rama Madhav, which was directed by Mrinal Kulkarni. She starred with her real-life husband Alok Rajwade in this movie. The movie also had big Marathi stars such as Mrinal Kulkarni, Prasad Oak, Shruti Marathe, Amol Kolhe amongst others.
In a new film released in 2016 called Photocopy, she played a double role of Madhuri Kulkarni and Mala Kulkarni. In the same year, she also played the role of Antara in the movie YZ, along with actor Akshay Tanksale.
Film critics appreciated her handling of the roles in both movies.
Her strong background in theatre gives a natural charm to her acting. She regularly performs in some nataks with the Pune based theatre group “Natak Company.”
Along with her acting, she is an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer. She has won the Vinod Doshi Fellowship for her contribution as a young actress to Marathi theatre.
