Taliban Take Over Herat Police Head Office In Western Afghanistan

Herat, Afghanistan:

The Taliban have taken over the main police headquarters in Herat, Afghanistan’s third-biggest city, an AFP journalist at the scene said.

He added there had been no resistance, while a Taliban spokesman tweeted “the enemy fled… Dozens of military vehicles, weapons and ammunition fell into the hands of the Mujahideen”.
